1. Who is responsible for the data?
The field app is provided by Mono IQ AB, Swedish company registration number 559589-8338 (“MoveIQ”). The moving company that created your account normally decides why and how data about its customers and staff is processed. The moving company is the data controller for that data; MoveIQ processes it as a data processor on the company’s instructions.
Ask the moving company about why it uses the data or how it monitors staff. MoveIQ is a controller for data needed to operate and protect the platform.
2. What data does the app handle?
- Account and work profile: name, email address, company code, role, language, theme and account permissions.
- Work information: assigned jobs, schedules, addresses and work-related details viewed or recorded in the app, such as time entries, chat messages and files or photos you choose to send.
- Location data: current GPS coordinates, location accuracy and update time, only when the company setting allows the feature and you enable location sharing with Android’s permission.
- Device and security data: a technical installation ID, push token if you enable notifications, IP address in some requests, timestamps, and error and security logs.
3. Background location sharing
Location sharing is off until you turn it on. The app asks after sign-in and only if your company’s GPS setting includes your role. Android displays its own permission prompts. To share your position while the app is not open, Android may require background location permission and your phone’s Location services to be on.
When you enable sharing, the app uses Android’s visible foreground location service. An ongoing system notification appears while sharing is active. The app normally sends a current location about every 30 seconds when the service can obtain one; phone settings, battery restrictions and network coverage can affect updates.
No one can see your location outside active jobs. While sharing is on, the app may still send updates between jobs. If there is no active job assigned to you, MoveIQ receives the update but does not store the coordinates. During an active assigned job, the moving company’s authorized dispatchers can see your position in the company Livekarta and the customer can see it in the customer live map. MoveIQ does not send your location when sharing is off.
MoveIQ stores only the latest position received during an active assigned job and does not create a location history. A position is hidden from maps when it is older than three minutes and deleted after ten minutes without a new update. Turning sharing off clears the stored position immediately. You can also revoke permission in Android settings; the app will then be unable to collect and send your position.
Android permission controls what the app can technically do. It does not replace the employer’s responsibility to inform staff, choose a lawful basis and assess whether monitoring is necessary and proportionate.
4. Push notifications and other app features
After sign-in, the app may ask for permission to send push notifications. If you allow them, a technical push token and installation ID are linked to your account so the app can receive work-related notifications and chat messages. You can turn notifications off in the app or phone settings.
If you choose to attach a photo or file, it is sent to the booking or conversation you are using. Avoid adding information that is not needed for the work.
5. Why the data is used
The moving company uses the data to plan and carry out assigned jobs, coordinate staff, communicate and, when location sharing is enabled, see a current position during an active job. The company’s lawful basis depends on its relationship with you and should be explained in the employer’s staff privacy information.
MoveIQ uses necessary account and technical data to provide, secure and troubleshoot the service. Location data is not used for advertising and is not sold.
6. Sharing, service providers and retention
Data is available to the moving company’s authorized users according to their roles and assigned work. A customer can see current location only for their active job as described above. MoveIQ uses technical service providers to operate the platform and deliver push notifications. See the current list of subprocessors and service providers.
Location data is deleted according to section 3. Job, account and other data are retained under the moving company’s documented retention policy and applicable legal requirements. Technical logs are kept for a limited period for operations and security. When the company account or relevant processing ends, data is handled under the data processing agreement and the general privacy policy.
7. Your rights and contact
Contact the moving company that created your account to ask questions or exercise your rights, including access, correction, erasure or restriction. You can also submit a request to delete your data. The company may need to verify your identity and may have to keep some data by law.
For questions about the MoveIQ platform, contact leo@moveiq.se. You may also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
We may update this policy when the app or processing changes. The current version is always available on this page.
